Juneau recently ranked among the top 10 cities<\/a> for green transportation by saveonenergy.com, a website that bills itself as an online marketplace connecting people with energy and natural gas suppliers.<\/p>\n The company used U.S. Census data from a survey that examined how people from different cities across the country are commuting. Using those data the website compiled three lists \u2014 one for large cities, one for medium cities and one for small cities \u2014 ranking the nation\u2019s most \u201cgreen-minded computers,\u201d it wrote in a press release.<\/p>\n Juneau ranked fourth in the website\u2019s medium-sized cities list (for cities with populations between 30,000 and 100,000 people). According to the list, 16 percent of Juneau survey respondents reported carpooling and 7 percent said they walked to work.<\/p>\n Ketchikan was ranked second in the small cities list, which was for cities of fewer than 30,000 people.
