The Juneau Arts and Humanities Council is now welcoming entries for the 2016 Juried Art Show.<\/p>\n
The 6th biennial Juried Art Show will hang in the Juneau Arts and Culture Center gallery from Friday, Jan. 6 to Tuesday, Jan. 31. This year\u2019s juror is Ketchikan-based artist Evon Zerbetz.<\/p>\n
Interested artists and groups should apply by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7. Applications are available at www.entrythingy.com\/jahc. <\/p>\n
Applicants will be notified of the jurors\u2019 selection by Dec. 21. If accepted, they will have to deliver their work to the JACC no later than Tuesday, Jan. 3. <\/p>\n
Winners will be announced at the show\u2019s First Friday opening, from 4:30-7 p.m. Jan. 6, and Zerbetz will speak about the selection process.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Applicants may\u00a0enter two pieces, with up to 10 photos of the individual piece per entry.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Artwork must be original and created within the last three years in any media, and not previously exhibited at the JACC gallery. \u00a0<\/p>\n
\u2022 Artwork should not violate city, state or federal laws, or endanger viewers.\t<\/p>\n
\u2022 Artists must sign an Artist Gallery Agreement upon admission into the show.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Artists are responsible for the packing and shipping of pieces to and from the JACC gallery if necessary. The JAHC will manage shipping of any sold pieces.<\/p>\n
\u2022 The entry fee is $40 and is waived if the applicant is a current JAHC member in good standing.<\/p>\n
