I pass by two, actually three, magnificent cottonwoods in their four seasons of splendor&#8211;a place where ravens like to hangout and talk. We seem friends. I\u2019ve been doing this now for a number of years. Last week was little different-except now those particularly stalwart trees are dead. Cut right down to the very toes. Now my raven buddies have no where to hangout. Why? What a total shame and there was not even the slightest hint of rot right down to their deepest heartwood&#8211;who decided they had to go?
