{"id":31236,"date":"2018-06-22T23:00:00","date_gmt":"2018-06-23T06:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spijue.wpengine.com\/news\/instacart-hires-alaska-lobbyist-2\/"},"modified":"2018-06-22T23:00:00","modified_gmt":"2018-06-23T06:00:00","slug":"instacart-hires-alaska-lobbyist-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.juneauempire.com\/news\/instacart-hires-alaska-lobbyist-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Instacart hires Alaska lobbyist"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>National internet grocery firm Instacart has hired an Alaska lobbyist, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/aws.state.ak.us\/ApocReports\/Lobbying\/View\/LORView.aspx?ID=10475\" target=\"_blank\">filings released June 20<\/a> by the Alaska Public Offices Commission.<\/p>\n<p>Instacart, which promises to home-deliver groceries from Costco and other retailers, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adn.com\/business-economy\/2018\/05\/28\/grocery-delivery-service-instacart-is-about-to-launch-in-anchorage\/\" target=\"_blank\">launched its Alaska business May 31 in Anchorage<\/a>. It has not yet expanded outside the city.<\/p>\n<p>According to corporate filings, Instacart operates in Alaska under the name <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commerce.alaska.gov\/cbp\/main\/Search\/EntityDetail\/10085485\" target=\"_blank\">Maplebear Alaska LLC<\/a> and is a registered Delaware corporation.<\/p>\n<p>Instacart&rsquo;s lobbyist is Patrick Carter of Anchorage.
