The Brandon Pilot Invitational Tournament takes place this weekend at Thunder Mountain High School from 4 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday. Championship rounds are slated for Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Nearly 140 athletes from nine programs will participate, including: Colony, Haines, Hoonah, Ketchikan, Metlakatla, Mt. Edgecumbe, Sitka and Wrangell high schools.<\/p>\n<p>Colony is currently ranked the best wrestling program in the state and coaches from Juneau are excited to face some stiff Anchorage competition, which they expect to be an \u201ceye opener\u201d for their athletes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI expect some of our guys to get beat up, but I\u2019ve learned already that we have some scrappers in the room. When our guys get in front of the home crowd, when they know people are coming to watch, that gives them a lot of drive and mental edge.\u201d<\/p>\n<p \/>\n<p><strong>Volleyball<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Both Juneau-Douglas High School and Thunder Mountain High School participate in a tournament at Dimond High School this weekend with games slated for today and Saturday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Juneau\u2019s combined wrestling program hosts their only home tournament of the season this Friday and Saturday.
