Thunder Mountain High School and Juneau-Douglas High School travelled to Ketchikan to compete this weekend against four Southeast track and field teams.<\/p>\n
Thunder Mountain took the overall prize, winning with 354.5 points to second-place Sitka\u2019s 294. The Falcons took the male team trophy with 200.5 points, while TMHS\u2019 female team fell by a slim four points to Sitka with 154 points to the Wolves\u2019 158.<\/p>\n
TMHS senior Naomi Welling took first in two events: the 300-meter hurdles and 4×400-meter relay. Senior Falcon Luke Paden took home first in three events, the 200-meter dash, 4×100-meter relay and the 400-meter dash, hitting 51.82 seconds in the 400 for a new school record.<\/p>\n
TMHS sophomore Erin Wallace placed first in the 1600-meter run with a time of 5 minutes 29 seconds. Thunder Mountain placed first and second in the boys triple jump, first in boys discus and first in girls high jump.<\/p>\n
Juneau-Douglas B team won the boys 4×800-meter relay, while their A team placed second. JDHS\u2019 Ryan Moritz placed third in the 400 and 800.<\/p>\n
JDHS placed fifth in combined scoring and female team points; their male team placed fourth. Petersburg placed third in the female, male and combined team scores.<\/p>\n
