{"id":31779,"date":"2016-02-17T23:08:52","date_gmt":"2016-02-18T07:08:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spijue.wpengine.com\/news\/woman-dies-of-injuries-suffered-in-crash-of-snowmobiles\/"},"modified":"2016-02-17T23:08:52","modified_gmt":"2016-02-18T07:08:52","slug":"woman-dies-of-injuries-suffered-in-crash-of-snowmobiles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.juneauempire.com\/news\/woman-dies-of-injuries-suffered-in-crash-of-snowmobiles\/","title":{"rendered":"Woman dies of injuries suffered in crash of snowmobiles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>AMBLER \u2014<\/strong> Alaska State Troopers say a woman from a northwest Alaska village has died of injuries suffered last week in a crash of two snowmobiles.<\/p>\n<p>Troopers on Thursday took a call of the crash on the Ambler-Shungnak trail about seven miles southeast of Ambler.<\/p>\n<p>Emergency responders found three people injured, including 24-year-old Isabel Greist.<\/p>\n<p>She was transported to the Maniilaq Clinic in Amber and medically evacuated to Anchorage, where she died.<\/p>\n<p>Troopers say 65-year-old Frank Downey and 21-year-old Cherissa Johnson, both of Ambler, were treated for non-life-threatening injuries at the Maniilaq Clinic.<\/p>\n<p>Foul weather has prevented troopers from reaching Ambler and the crash scene.<\/p>\n<p>Ambler is a community of 277 on the Kobuk River 138 miles northeast of Kotzebue.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AMBLER \u2014 Alaska State Troopers say a woman from a northwest Alaska village has died of injuries suffered last week in a crash of two snowmobiles.
