The Empire regrets this error.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>After a man out on probation tested positive for methamphetamine use, the Juneau Police Department was looking to find him. On Tuesday afternoon, they tracked him down.<\/p>\n<p>JPD officers found Lester Allen Hunt III, 28, at a home in the 3400 block of Foster Avenue at 3:35 p.m. Tuesday, according to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.juneaupolice.com\/PSA-template.php?UID=1967\" target=\"_blank\">a JPD release<\/a>. There was a $500 Alaska State Troopers warrant out for Hunt, whose original charge was first-degree burglary.<\/p>\n<p>Officers arrested Hunt and took him to Lemon Creek Correctional Center, according to the release. Police posted <a href=\"http:\/\/juneauempire.com\/local\/news\/2018-03-16\/police-seek-wanted-man-after-probation-violation\" target=\"_blank\">a release on March 16<\/a> saying they were looking for him, and released his picture asking for the public to help with their search efforts.<\/p>\n<p>A technical probation violation was filed on Feb. 22, according to online court records. Probation Officer Dusty Dumont said the violation was filed because Hunt tested positive for methamphetamine use.<\/p>\n<p>His original burglary charge was filed in May 2010, when a Juneau resident reported that his home had been burglarized three times in the span of a few days. Cash, medication and personal items were taken in the burglaries, according to a JPD press release at the time.
