Thunder Mountain High school recognized five students for the month of December.<\/p>\n
Senior Abby DeRocher was nominated by English teacher Chris Knight.<\/p>\n
\u201cAbby continuously engages in class in a highly productive manner offering insightful and well-thought out opinions,\u201d Knight said. \u201cAs a student, Abby makes every attempt to complete her homework on time and thoroughly. While traveling for volleyball, Abby always checked in regarding missing work and completed all homework quickly. Abby has shown to be a very mature and respectful student while leading other students through their senior year.\u201d<\/p>\n
Sophmore James Davis was nominated by science teacher Adriana Northcutt.<\/p>\n
\u201cJames works diligently to complete all assignments on time and is always open to feedback,\u201d Northcutt said. \u201cHe is willing to rework assignments to turn in the best possible product. He is a kind, dedicated young man that challenges himself to think like a scientist!\u201d<\/p>\n
Senior Bradley Gile was nominated by Russian and digital arts teacher Janna Lelchuk.<\/p>\n
\u201cBradley is in his third year of Russian,\u201d Lelchuk said. \u201cAfter missing a year, he came back and is doing great! He is on top of everything and… he is the new and best Russian Shrek!!! Bradley acted as a Shrek in a new version of a famous Russian tale and did an awesome job. He is now famous in many Juneau schools. Thank you for all you do!\u201d<\/p>\n
Freshman Nathan Holmes was also nominated by Lelchuk.<\/p>\n
\u201cNathan is in my Russian and digital arts classes,\u201d Lelchuk said. \u201cHe is fun to have in both! He enjoys learning Russian, as well as working on digital projects. He is really good with computers and creates award winning graphics. Way to go, Nathan!\u201d<\/p>\n
Freshman Eli Lopez was nominated by principal Dan Larson and counselor Kathy McCasland.<\/p>\n
