After a few weeks off for the holidays, Crimson Bears hockey didn\u2019t show any rink rust in their Friday win over the visiting Houston High School (3-4).<\/p>\n
Though Juneau-Douglas went down 1-2 briefly in the first period, JDHS (4-7) closed strong, icing the Hawks with five third-period goals for the 8-2 win.<\/p>\n
Joseph Monsef, Ryan Liebelt and Jacob Dale each had two goals and an assist to lead the way for JDHS. Dalton Hoy and Bill Boss\u00e9 tallied JDHS\u2019 two other goals, with Boss\u00e9 also contributing two assists and Hoy one.<\/p>\n
Houston\u2019s Noah Gillespie and Kai Kingery scored for the visitors.<\/p>\n
JDHS hits the road next weekend for a string of three games against Anchorage-area teams. The Crimson Bears visit Chugiak Jan. 12, Service Jan. 13 and Eagle River Jan. 14.<\/p>\n
