{"id":32976,"date":"2016-02-28T09:03:56","date_gmt":"2016-02-28T17:03:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spijue.wpengine.com\/news\/juneau-man-indicted-for-sex-abuse-distributing-drugs\/"},"modified":"2016-02-28T09:03:56","modified_gmt":"2016-02-28T17:03:56","slug":"juneau-man-indicted-for-sex-abuse-distributing-drugs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.juneauempire.com\/news\/juneau-man-indicted-for-sex-abuse-distributing-drugs\/","title":{"rendered":"Juneau man indicted for sex abuse, distributing drugs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A grand jury indicted a 19-year-old Juneau resident Feb. 19 for sexually abusing a 14-year-old person.<\/p>\n<p>Devon Rivera faces second-degree sexual abuse of a minor and third-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance for distributing marijuana to a person under 19, according to a grand jury indictment signed by Juneau District Attoney James Scott.<\/p>\n<p>Both charges stem from events in October, and both are class B felonies punishable up to 99 years in prison.<\/p>\n<p>Rivera also faces charges for second-degree burglary and second-degree theft, according to the indictment. Both charges are class C felonies that carry up to five years in prison and a maximum fine of $50,000.<\/p>\n<p>Rivera faced a misdemeanor charge in January for contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to CourtView.
