JUNEAU \u2014 An Alaska health department employee who posted political comments aimed at Donald Trump on the agency\u2019s Twitter feed last week is no longer with the department.<\/p>\n
In a statement, the department said the employee was at home and not on work time when the comments were posted but made \u201cinadvertent use of state resources to send partisan political messages.\u201d<\/p>\n
The department previously apologized for the incident, and the tweets, posted during a presidential debate, were deleted.<\/p>\n
The department has not publicly identified the employee, saying this is a personnel matter, and did not provide details surrounding the person\u2019s departure.<\/p>\n
The department said it will review its social media policies and that only the public information office manager will now have the ability to post to the department\u2019s Twitter feed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
