{"id":33419,"date":"2016-02-03T09:07:09","date_gmt":"2016-02-03T17:07:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spijue.wpengine.com\/news\/troopers-use-dog-to-detain-2-men-suspected-of-burglary\/"},"modified":"2016-02-03T09:07:09","modified_gmt":"2016-02-03T17:07:09","slug":"troopers-use-dog-to-detain-2-men-suspected-of-burglary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.juneauempire.com\/news\/troopers-use-dog-to-detain-2-men-suspected-of-burglary\/","title":{"rendered":"Troopers use dog to detain 2 men suspected of burglary"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>FAIRBANKS \u2014 <\/strong>Alaska State Troopers used a police dog to arrest two men suspected of burglarizing a Fairbanks home.<\/p>\n<p>Troopers just before 11 p.m. Sunday took a 911 call from a witness reporting suspects using flashlights inside a neighbor\u2019s home that was supposed to be vacant.<\/p>\n<p>The suspects also appeared to have tampered with a vehicle outside the home.<\/p>\n<p>When officers arrived, the suspects remained inside the home.<\/p>\n<p>Troopers sent in \u201cK9 Skippy\u201d to detain the suspects and arrested 40-year-old Andrew Towse and 49-year-old Michael Meath.<\/p>\n<p>Towse and Meath were arraigned Monday on felony burglary and misdemeanor vehicle theft charges.<\/p>\n<p>Online court records did not list attorneys for the men and they remained jailed Tuesday at Fairbanks Correctional Center.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FAIRBANKS \u2014 Alaska State Troopers used a police dog to arrest two men suspected of burglarizing a Fairbanks home.
