The 17-year-old was last seen intoxicated at 1 a.m. at a drinking party near Mendenhall River. The head of the investigation, the Alaska State Troopers, told searchers that the teen may have drowned or died of hypothermia near Dredge Lake.<\/p>\n<p>In budget-related news, the state Department of Transportation and Public Facilities cut about one-third of snow removal in Juneau for the winter. The cut in funding meant more restrictions on winter storm response. <\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Juneau Planning Commission approved development on one part of Pinewood Park Subdivision near Lemon Creek and a 40-space Montessori day care.
