William Squires, who joined the company\u2019s board in 2003, died Nov. 18, the company announced Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe whole of our AP&amp;T family is greatly saddened by the loss of our esteemed colleague and friend. Our thoughts are with his wife Sherry, sons Ashton and Tucker and the entire Squires family during this difficult time,\u201d said Michael Garrett, who will become AP&amp;T\u2019s new CEO at the end of the year.<\/p>\n<p>Before joining AP&amp;T\u2019s board, Squires had been chief general counsel for the telecom firm Blackfoot of Missoula, Montana, and was Blackfoot\u2019s CEO in 2012.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The executive board chairman of Alaska Power and Telephone has died.
