Eaglecrest is forgoing its annual Slush Cup competition due to low snow levels.<\/p>\n
The event was canceled in 2015 and 2016 for the same reason, but made a return last <\/a>year<\/a>.<\/p>\n Eaglecrest’s base held only 26 inches of snow as of Thursday afternoon. Last year, the pond or “cup” used for the popular spectator event was approximately 5 feet or 60 inches deep.<\/p>\n “Our base depth is really not conducive to digging it into it and making a slush pond,” said Emily McDaniels, Eaglecrest’s marketing and events coordinator.<\/p>\n Porcupine, Hooter and Ptarmigan chairs will be running from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
