Burglary<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 At 9:05 a.m. Tuesday, the Juneau Police Department investigated a theft from a business in the 5400 block of Shaune Drive.<\/p>\n \u2022 At 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, a 56-year-old woman told police that someone attempted to enter a home in the 8400 block of Canyon Drive.<\/p>\n \u2022 At 8:22 a.m. Wednesday, JPD investigated a burglary at a home in the 4400 block of Portage Boulevard.<\/p>\n Car accident<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 At 6 p.m. Monday, JPD investigated a car accident with minor injuries at the intersection of Egan Drive and Old Dairy Road.<\/p>\n \u2022 At 1:09 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to a car accident with minor injuries in the 2500 block of Douglas Highway.<\/p>\n Disturbance<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 At 11:37 p.m. Monday, JPD responded to a report of a drunk screaming in the middle of Egan Drive. The person was taken by police to Bartlett Regional Hospital and was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center to sober up.<\/p>\n Drunken driving<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 At 12:49 a.m. Tuesday, JPD arrested 39-year-old Kris Burns in the 12100 block of Glacier Highway for drunken driving and fourth-degree weapons misconduct. He was taken to LCCC and held on $1,500 bail. A 2001 Chevy was impounded.<\/p>\n Fire\/ambulance calls<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 On Dec. 12, Capital City Fire\/Rescue responded to nine ambulance calls requiring advanced life support, two calls canceled en route, one call for medical transport, two false fire alarms, and a call to help someone get into their home. (Editor\u2019s note: This dispatch report was not released until Wednesday, Dec. 21.)<\/em><\/p>\n \u2022 On Monday, CCFR responded to 14 ambulance calls requiring advanced life support, four medical transport calls, two calls where the patient did not need medical help, two false fire alarms, a fire alarm on Vintage Boulevard caused by a broken sprinkler, an outdoor electrical problem emitting smoke, and a call on North Franklin Street reporting the smell of gas. The source of the smell could not be located.<\/p>\n \u2022 On Tuesday, CCFR responded to nine abulance calls requiring advanced life support, one medical transport, one call canceled en route, one call that didn\u2019t require medical help, and a commercial smoker on fire at 1:46 p.m. on West Willoughby Avenue. The fire was contained within the smoker, and firefighters extinguished it.<\/p>\n Fraud<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 At 9:04 a.m. Wednesday, a fake $100 bill was turned into JPD from the 9100 block of Glacier Highway.<\/p>\n \u2022 At 10:54 a.m. Wednesday, JPD investigated a report that someone was using a credit card fraudulently.<\/p>\n Probation violation<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 At 6:21 p.m. Monday, JPD investigated a report that someone had violated a domestic violence protective order.<\/p>\n \u2022 At 1:26 p.m. Tuesday, a caller told police someone violated their domestic violence protective order.<\/p>\n Sex crime<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 At 12:39 p.m. Tuesday, JPD investigated a reported sexual assault.<\/p>\n \u2022 At 4:39 p.m. Tuesday, JPD investigated a reported sexual assault.<\/p>\n Theft<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 At 1:35 p.m. Monday, 26-year-old Victory Shorty was arrested for theft in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway.<\/p>\n \u2022 At 1:33 p.m. Tuesday, 49-year-old Cheryl Nelson was cited and released in the 600 block of Willoughby Avenue for shoplifting $96 of grocery items. Alcohol was involved.<\/p>\n \u2022 At 7:28 p.m. Tuesday, three women entered Fred Meyer and stole an unknown amount of merchandise.<\/p>\n \u2022 At 8:14 a.m. Wednesday, a 37-year-old man reported the theft of about $100 worth of items from his porch in the 2500 block of Vista Drive over the past couple of weeks.<\/p>\n Trespassing<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 At 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to a report of criminal trespass in the 300 block of Franklin Street.<\/p>\n \u2022 At 4:24 p.m., JPD investigated a report of criminal trespass in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway.<\/p>\n Vehicle rifling<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 At midnight Tuesday morning, JPD investigated a report that a vehicle had been rifled in the Marine Park parking garage.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" This report contains information provided to the Empire from law enforcement agencies.
