First Alaskans Institute is hosting a Social Justice Summer titled “Social Justice Doers: Partners for the Next 10,000 Years…” next week that kicks off with an open-to-the-public Warming of the Hands Sunday.<\/p>\n
The free gathering starts at 4 p.m. at Juneau Arts & Culture Center, 350 Whittier St., and heavy hors d’ouvres will be served. It will also include the signing of Administrative Order 300, “Responding to Alaska’s Linguistic Emergency and Increasing Collaboration with Tribes,” by Gov. Bill Walker at 5 p.m., said Andrea Sanders, director of First Alaskans Institute’s Alaska Native Policy Center.<\/p>\n
