When troopers located the vessel ashore South Island, approximately 26 miles south of Juneau, later that same day, he was dead, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/dps.alaska.gov\/dailydispatch\/Home\/Display?dateReceived=6\/5\/2016%2012:00:00%20AM\" target=\"_blank\">an AST online dispatch<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Officials have notified Fredrick\u2019s next of kin and his body will be taken to the State Medical Examiner\u2019s Officer in Anchorage.
