Assault<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 12:51 p.m. Tuesday, the Juneau Police Department responded to a report of an assault in the 4500 block of Kanata Street, with alcohol involved. Charges are pending.<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 11:18 a.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to a disturbance in the 2200 block of Jordan Avenue and cited Miranda Holland, 27, for assault after she pushed a woman down and caused injuries.<\/p>\n
Child abuse<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 12:21 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to a report of child abuse in the Juneau area; investigation continues.<\/p>\n
Domestic violence<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 4:07 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to a report of a domestic violence assault in the Juneau area; investigation continues.<\/p>\n
Drug activity<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 6:04 p.m. Tuesday, JPD received a report of drug activity in the Juneau area; investigation continues.<\/p>\n
Fire and medical<\/p>\n
\u2022 On Monday, Capital City Fire\/Rescue responded to 12 EMS calls and one medical transport in the area throughout the day. At 9:20 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to a burn complaint on Glacier Highway and advised the resident on how to limit the smoke. At 11:15 a.m,, they were dispatched to a burn complaint on Egan Drive and found a small cooking fire that was being attended to. At 11:44 a.m., firefighters responded to a fire alarm on Bentwood that was triggered by active construction. At 1 p.m., they were dispatched to a burn complaint on Judy Avenue and found an open burn with no permit; the resident was told to extinguish the fire.<\/p>\n
\u2022 On Tuesday, CCFR responded to 11 EMS calls and two medical transports. At 6:30 a.m., firefighters responded to a carbon monoxide alarm on F Street and found no issues other than dead batteries. At 7:58 p.m., they were dispatched to an unattended camp fire on Savikko Road, which was extinguished.<\/p>\n
\u2022 On Wednesday, CCFR responded to seven EMS calls and two medical transports. At 6:36 a.m., firefighters responded to a smoke call on Nowell Avenue but found no signs of smoke or fire. At 9:27 p.m., they responded to a burn complaint on Nowell Avenue and found a fire that had been extinguished; the property owner was advised to get a burn permit. At 9:51 p.m, they responded to a fire alarm on University Drive that had been triggered by burnt food.<\/p>\n
Harassment<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 2:52 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to a report by a 25-year-old woman in the Juneau area regarding harassment; investigation continues.<\/p>\n
Motor vehicle crash<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 12:58 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to a report of a hit and run accident in the 8400 block of Airport Boulevard; investigation continues.<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 4:25 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to a report of a hit and run in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway; investigation continues.<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 10:53 a.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to a motor vehicle crash on private property in the 2000 block of Anka Street.<\/p>\n
Shoplifting<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 7:55 a.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to a shoplifting report in the 600 block of Willoughby Avenue and cited Michael Sperber, 22, for shoplifting $22 in merchandise.<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 9:59 a.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to a shoplifting report in the 600 block of Willoughby Avenue; a man took a $48 bottle of whiskey without paying for it.<\/p>\n
Theft<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 1:17 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to a report by a 65-year-old man in the 2800 block of Riverside Drive that his wallet had been stolen and there had been fraudulent activity on his credit cards.<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 3:44 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to a report of a theft of household items in the 4500 block of Trafalgar Avenue; investigation continues.<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 8:16 a.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to a theft report in the 3200 block of Hospital Drive; investigation continues.<\/p>\n
Vandalism<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 6:37 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to a vandalism report in the 3100 block of Dimond Park Loop.<\/p>\n
Vehicle rifling<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 7:55 a.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to a report from a 30-year-old woman in the 2900 block of Glacierwood Court that her unlocked vehicle had been rifled through and $100 of items was taken.<\/p>\n
\u2022 At 10:05 a.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to a report by a 43-year-old woman on James Boulevard that her unlocked vehicle had been rifled through with nothing taken.<\/p>\n
Vehicle theft<\/p>\n
