Eaglecrest Ski Area will officially open Saturday for business.<\/p>\n
“Our snowmaking team put in a ton of hard work during a short 65-hour weather window, and now it’s time to enjoy the fruits of their labor,” said Charlie Herrington, Eaglecrest marketing manager, in a press release.<\/p>\n
The announcement comes after the ski area pushed back opening day last weekend<\/a> due to warm weather conditions. Workers spent the weekend blowing snow using a record amount of snowblowing guns for Eaglecrest<\/a>.<\/p>\n Early season conditions will be in place, with snow cover limited to the Muskeg trail on the Porcupine Chairlift. The trail will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Discounted ticket prices will be in effect: $10 lift tickets, $10 equipment rentals and $20 lessons (limited availability).<\/p>\n The Eaglecrest Grill will also be open starting at 8:30 a.m.<\/p>\n Weather models suggest it will snow the next few days<\/a>.
