{"id":4085,"date":"2015-12-04T02:46:32","date_gmt":"2015-12-04T10:46:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spijue.wpengine.com\/news\/time-given-for-talks-in-alaska-reality-stars-case\/"},"modified":"2015-12-04T02:46:32","modified_gmt":"2015-12-04T10:46:32","slug":"time-given-for-talks-in-alaska-reality-stars-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.juneauempire.com\/news\/time-given-for-talks-in-alaska-reality-stars-case\/","title":{"rendered":"Time given for talks in Alaska reality stars&#8217; case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>JUNEAU \u2014<\/strong> A judge is giving attorneys time to discuss a possible resolution in a case involving members of the family associated with the Discovery Channel reality show \u201cAlaskan Bush People.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During a brief hearing Thursday, Superior Court Judge Philip Pallenberg set another status hearing for Dec. 22.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors last year accused Billy Brown, wife Amora, and four of the sons of applying for Alaska Permanent Fund Dividends to which they weren\u2019t entitled.<\/p>\n<p>Pallenberg dismissed the indictments against Billy and Amora Brown and said the state must decide whether to seek a new indictment. The sons are seeking to have the charges against them dismissed.<\/p>\n<p>Pallenberg last month rejected plea agreements for Billy Brown and son Joshua, saying he thought the sentences should have involved jail time.
