ANCHORAGE \u2014<\/strong> Police in Homer have seized more than a thousand marijuana plants with an estimated street value of more than $1 million from a grow operation.<\/p>\n Police in a news release said they served a warrant Friday at a home off East End Road about three miles northeast of the Homer Spit.<\/p>\n They found 1,012 rooted marijuana plants. The plants and 59 lights were seized.<\/p>\n Police say 32-year-old Joseph Gabryzak arrived as the warrant was served.<\/p>\n He\u2019s charged with three felony drug counts, including possession of more than 25 marijuana plants and maintaining a building used for keeping controlled substances.<\/p>\n Defense attorney Evan Barrickman says he has no comment on the pending case.<\/p>\n Gabryzak is jailed at Wildwood Correction Center in Kenai and scheduled for a bail hearing Friday in Homer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
