Tonight, a few of them in Juneau will have the chance to meet her in person.<\/p>\n<p>Perkins, the author and illustrator of more than a dozen children\u2019s books, will be at the Mendenhall Valley Library at 6 p.m. tonight. She\u2019ll talk about some of her most well known works, such as her most recent book \u201cFrank and Lucky Get Schooled\u201d and Newbery Award-winning 2006 novel \u201cCriss Cross.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Pennsylvania native currently lives in Michigan, but travels to libraries all over the country to share her stories in person and interact with her young readers. Perkins and her husband have been in town since this past weekend, and she spoke to students at Riverbend School earlier this week.
