It will take place from 3-5 p.m. at Douglas Island Pink and Chum (DIPAC).<\/p>\n<p>The goal of the event is to allow community members to learn about the different programs available in Juneau \u2014 traditional foster care, therapeutic and kinship foster care \u2014 and the various ways to participate.<\/p>\n<p>Guest speakers will be Alaska\u2019s first lady Donna Walker, Rep. Ivy Spohnholz (D-Anchorage) and former foster care youth turned advocate Becca Shier.<\/p>\n<p>Other activities include a photo booth, arts and crafts, and shaved ice.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday\u2019s foster care event is free, open to the public and family-friendly.
