The Juneau Community Foundation announced the availability of applications for the Simon and Anna Kirk Memorial Scholarship to current seniors at Juneau-Douglas High School: Yadaa.at Kalé.<\/p>\n

Up to $1,700 is available for one male and one female student, according to a press release. Annual scholarships will be awarded and may be renewed for up to four years. Applications are available on the Juneau Community Foundation website (juneaucf.org<\/a>) or can be obtained from the Counseling Office of JDHS. All application materials must be received by the office on or before April 22. All students are welcome to apply.<\/p>\n

[Alaska Professional Communicators offers scholarship]<\/a><\/ins><\/p>\n

This scholarship was established in 2014 at the Juneau Community Foundation through a bequest by Michael Kirk, a former math teacher at JDHS, in honor of his parents, Simon and Anna Kirk. The scholarship committee will make recommendations and announce this year’s scholarships by May 15. Scholarships will be sent to the tax-exempt nonprofit or educational institution that awardees will be attending.<\/p>\n
