The Juneau-Douglas High School girls soccer team doubled its win total over the weekend, securing victories against teams in the competitive Railbelt and Cook Inlet Conference.<\/p>\n
JDHS won 3-0 over Wasilla and Dimond on Thursday and Friday, respectively. The Crimson Bears has 21 shots in the first half alone of their first game. JDHS then cruised to a 5-0 win over Eagle River on Saturday to conclude road trip and improve to 6-0.<\/p>\n
“The whole trip, it’s been fantastic in that everybody has been getting minutes and everybody has been contributing,” JDHS coach Matt Dusenberry said.<\/p>\n
Senior Malia Miller scored six goals total, four coming on Saturday against the Wolves, and senior goalkeeper Shaylin Cesar tightened her grip on the state’s all-time shutout record.<\/p>\n
