The driver of a Toyota SUV headed outbound then lost control of their car on the ice and the car slid into the Subaru.<\/p>\n<p>Neither driver suffered major injuries, Colon said, though the driver of the SUV was taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital as a precaution. Traffic was cut down to one lane on Egan inbound for a short time before reopening around 9:30.<\/p>\n<p>Colon said neither driver was impaired, but that it was just a case of one driver going too fast on the ice. He urged drivers to slow down, as winter is still taking its toll on the roads.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Hopefully we&rsquo;re going to be seeing spring here soon,&rdquo; Colon said.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><b>&#8226; Contact reporter Alex McCarthy at 523-2271 or amccarthy@juneauempire.com.
