Altogether, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.juneauempire.com\/news\/a-newlywed-couple-a-pilot-a-family-man-profiles-of-the-six-victims-of-a-floatplane-crash-near-ketchikan\/\" target=\"_blank\">nine people have died<\/a> since a May 13 midair collision of two sightseeing planes killed six.<\/p>\n<p><ins><a href=\"https:\/\/www.juneauempire.com\/news\/pilot-and-passenger-identified-in-floatplane-crash\/\" target=\"_blank\">[Pilot and passenger identified in floatplane crash]<\/a><\/ins><\/p>\n<p>Alaska State Troopers said Resinger was among two passengers in a plane piloted by 56-year-old Scott Johannes of Wasilla when the crash occurred Tuesday during an attempted landing in Cascade Bay.<\/p>\n<p><ins><a href=\"https:\/\/www.juneauempire.com\/news\/a-cloud-of-sadness-search-and-plane-crash-investigation-efforts-continue-as-ketchikan-mourns\/\" target=\"_blank\">[Search concludes and death toll officially rises near Ketchikan]<\/a><\/ins><\/p>\n<p>The Coast Guard said good Samaritan rescuers picked up those on board the Cessna A185F Skywagon.<\/p>\n<p>Troopers said Resinger was extricated, but lifesaving measures were unsuccessful.<\/p>\n<p>Johannes and the surviving passenger were flown to an Anchorage hospital.
