Southeast track athletes united as one for the Brian Young Invitational, an annual all-star meet that follows the state meet<\/a>.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t

Southeast and Interior athletes joined forces to create the North\/Southeast All-Stars, and competed against the Cook Inlet All-Stars, made up of Anchorage athletes, and South Central All-Stars, made up of Mat-Su Valley and Kenai Peninsula athletes on Friday and Saturday at West Anchorage High School.<\/p>\n

\"Here’s<\/a><\/div>\t\t\t\t

Juneau-Douglas: Yadaat.at Kalé’s Sadie Tuckwood and Bailey Wery Tagaban each had strong showings. Tuckwood took first in the 3200 meters with a time of 11 minutes, 6.16 seconds. Wery Tagaban got second in the triple jump with her mark of 33 feet, 9 inches. Hannah Deer, a sophomore at Thunder Mountain, helped the North\/Southeast All-Stars win the 4×400 relay. Deer, Joei Vidad of Sitka, Lindsey Bartolaba of Sitka and Hailey Williams of Delta Junction completed the relay in 4:01.77 seconds, five seconds faster than the winning state relay.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t

Juneau athletes on the North\/Southeast All-Stars included Wery Tagaban, Tuckwood, Dalton Hoy, Arne Ellefson-Carnes, Anna Iverson and Katie McKenna.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t
