On Jan. 15, from 1-4 p.m. at the Mendenhall Valley Public Library, Woosh Kinaadeiy\u00ed will host a Spoken Word Workshop themed around poetry. The workshop will be led by local poets and Woosh Kinaadeiy\u00ed board members Christy NaMee Eriksen of Kindred Post and Dee DeRego. <\/p>\n
\u201cThis will be one of the friendliest, most welcoming and supportive writing workshops you could participate in,\u201d said Bill Merk, poet and Woosh Kinaadeiy\u00ed vice president. <\/p>\n
Woosh Kinaadeiy\u00ed is a nonprofit organization committed to diversity, inclusive community, and empowering voice, and organizes these free to low cost monthly events for the community. <\/p>\n
