Emergency personnel helped a small girl off a cruise ship near Juneau on Sunday after she was experiencing abdominal pain, according to a release from the U.S. Coast Guard.

At about 2:09 p.m. Sunday, the Coast Guard got a call for help from the Ovation of the Seas, which was on its way from Juneau to Skagway, according to the release. A 5-year-old girl was feeling abdominal pain, and Station Juneau sent out a 45-foot response boat to the ship, which was in Gastineau Channel.

Coast Guard personnel took the girl and her parents to the South Douglas boat ramp, where local emergency personnel picked her up. The release did not state whether the girl was taken to the hospital or what her current condition is.
