Alyse Galvin has announced her campaign to unseat incumbent Don Young<\/a> in the U.S. House of Representatives in 2020.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t Galvin ran against Young in 2018 but lost in the general election. Following a decision by the state supreme court<\/a>, Galvin, an Independent, was able to challenge Democrats in that party’s primary and ultimate ran on the Democratic ticket.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t Galvin has announced her campaign as an Independent again, but has not said whether she intends to run in the Democratic primary again.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t “Amid persistent partisan gridlock on the state and federal level, Galvin will also focus her candidacy on better government, demanding that our representatives actually work for the people they serve,” a press release announcing her candidacy on Tuesday said.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t
