The Alaska Marine Highway System announced more sailing cancellations Thursday as the Inlandboatman’s Union of The Pacific’s strike continued through its ninth day.<\/p>\n

Sailings of the Tazlina, Lituya, LeConte and Aurora are canceled for Saturday Aug. 3, according to a release from the Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities.<\/p>\n

Previously it was announced sailings for the Kenicott, Columbia and Tustumena are canceled through Aug. 7, and the Malaspina through Aug. 4.<\/p>\n

Passenger fees for canceled sailings will be refunded, according to the release, and the number to call with refund questions is 1-800-642-0066.<\/p>\n

As of Thursday afternoon, cancellations affected 8,151 passengers and 2,329, according to Shannon McCarthy with the Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities.<\/p>\n

So far $3,147,592 has been refunded. <\/p>\n
