{"id":51981,"date":"2019-08-19T13:10:00","date_gmt":"2019-08-19T21:10:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.juneauempire.com\/news\/juneau-officer-pleads-not-guilty-in-drunken-driving-case\/"},"modified":"2019-08-19T13:10:00","modified_gmt":"2019-08-19T21:10:00","slug":"juneau-officer-pleads-not-guilty-in-drunken-driving-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.juneauempire.com\/news\/juneau-officer-pleads-not-guilty-in-drunken-driving-case\/","title":{"rendered":"Juneau officer pleads not guilty in drunken driving case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Juneau police officer who was arrested for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.juneauempire.com\/news\/off-duty-juneau-police-officer-arrested-after-traffic-crash\/\" target=\"_blank\">drunken driving off-duty<\/a> pleaded not guilty in court Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Brent Bartlett telephonically entered a not guilty plea to the charges of felony third-degree assault and misdemeanor DUI in Juneau Superior Court before Judge Daniel Schally.<\/p>\n<p>He was arrested on July 29 after he was involved in a car crash that involved a woman being hospitalized. Bartlett reportedly blew a .239 BAC at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>Bartlett is represented by Julie Willoughby. The prosecuting attorney is Tim McGillicuddy, Ketchikan district attorney.<\/p>\n<p>A discovery hearing is scheduled for Oct. 8, a pretrial hearing will occur on Oct. 21, and a trial is tentatively slated for Oct. 28.<\/p>\n<p>Bartlett has been out on bail, on the conditions that he may neither consume alcohol nor operate a motor vehicle.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><b>\u2022 Contact reporter Michael S.
