Coast Guardsmen from Station Juneau medevaced a man suffering from a possible bowel obstruction, from a cruise ship early Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n

The station dispatched a 45-foot Response Boat- Medium in response to a 3 a.m. call requesting a medical evacuation from Ovation of the Seas<\/em> near Douglas, the Coast Guard said in a press release.<\/p>\n

“The patient seemed to have minor discomfort but overall was in good condition when we transported him,” said Petty Officer 3rd Class Seth Miller in a press release. The patient and his wife were evacuated without incident, according to the press release.<\/p>\n

This is the third cruise ship passenger the Coast Guard has evacuated at sea this month.<\/p>\n
