The lecture will be held at 6:30 p.m. and again at 8 p.m. at the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center.<\/p>\n<p>Brown celebrated the completion of his PhD by hiking and kayaking from Stanford University to his home in Gustavus. Upon his return, he founded the Inian Islands Institute, a field school near Glacier Bay dedicated to education, research and environmental leadership &mdash; an idea conceived while working on his PhD in climate science.<\/p>\n<p>Elevators are still out at the Visitor Center due to construction, please use the ramp or stairs.
