The Juneau-Douglas High School: Yadaat.at Kalé tennis team is playing this week in the Region V Tennis Tournament at The Alaska Club\/JRC.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t
The boys doubles tournament kicked off Wednesday, with Will Rehfeldt and William Smoker defeating Luke Bibb and Reed Loree, 6-0, 6-0, in the semifinals. In the other semifinal, Callan Smith and Liam Penn took down Kevin Kooistra and Alain Soltys-Gray, 6-2, 6-1. Rehfeldt-Smoker will take on Smith-Penn on Saturday afternoon for the boys doubles championship.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t
The boys singles and girls singles tournaments kicked off last night and tonight, respectively, and the girls doubles tournament will take place Saturday. There are 25 team members this year on the Crimson Bears.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t
JDHS will send eight student athletes to the state tennis championships in two weeks at the Alaska Club East in Anchorage. The Crimson Bears placed fourth at last year’s state tournament.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t
