A Juneau-Douglas High School: Yadaat.at Kalé freshman won the girls singles title on the final day of the Region V Tennis Tournament.<\/p>\n
Anna Dale defeated teammate Olivia Moore 6-4, 6-1 in the championship match on Sunday at The Alaska Club\/JRC, and then teamed up with boys singles champion Kevin Kooistra to win the mixed doubles final 6-0, 6-0 over Moore and William Smoker.<\/p>\n
Other tournament winners included Jaymie Collman and Katie Pikul (girls doubles), Will Rehfeldt and Smoker (boys doubles), Kean Buss (development singles) and Max McHenry and Isaac Powers (development doubles).<\/p>\n
Eight JDHS players, four girls and four boys, will be selected to compete in the state championships in Anchorage on Oct. 11-12.<\/p>\n
