Family Promise of Juneau is a community response to local family homelessness. We utilize faith and civic communities to provide overnight hospitality to families experiencing homelessness. More than 18 groups support this mission, providing meals, space, volunteers, and resources.<\/p>\n
Within<\/span> the<\/span> last<\/span> year<\/span> we<\/span> have<\/span> trained<\/span> more<\/span> than<\/span> 300<\/span> community<\/span> <\/span>members<\/span> in<\/span> the<\/span> dynamics<\/span> of<\/span> poverty,<\/span> homelessness,<\/span> how<\/span> to<\/span> be<\/span> <\/span>trauma<\/span> informed,<\/span> and the Family Promise <\/span>model,<\/span> which has <\/span>a<\/span> proven<\/span> impact<\/span> on<\/span> helping<\/span> families<\/span> attain<\/span> sustainable<\/span> housing.<\/span><\/p>\n We are beyond thankful for all of those involved in making Family Promise happen. In particular, Chapel by the Lake took a chance on us. Thank you for allowing us to use your space for our day center.
