Ali Beya<\/strong> is the Juneau Empire’s player of the week.<\/p>\n Beya, a junior running back on the Juneau Huskies, caught his team’s lone touchdown pass last Saturday night against South Anchorage in the state football quarterfinals<\/a>. The score marked Beya’s 10th touchdown of the season, tying Gaby Soto for second-most on the team behind quarterback Cooper Kriegmont. The 5-foot-9, 155-pounder recorded with over 700 yards rushing this season, and was named the best kick returner in the Chugach Conference.<\/p>\n
