{"id":54743,"date":"2019-10-25T03:00:00","date_gmt":"2019-10-25T11:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.juneauempire.com\/news\/ua-regents-will-hear-public-testimony-monday-evening\/"},"modified":"2019-10-25T03:00:00","modified_gmt":"2019-10-25T11:00:00","slug":"ua-regents-will-hear-public-testimony-monday-evening","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.juneauempire.com\/news\/ua-regents-will-hear-public-testimony-monday-evening\/","title":{"rendered":"UA Regents will hear public testimony Monday evening"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The University of Alaska Board of Regents will hold a special meeting Monday, followed later in the afternoon by a hearing of public testimony.<\/p>\n<p>Regents will meet first from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. to discuss the letter sent by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and University <a href=\"https:\/\/www.juneauempire.com\/news\/no-confidence-vote-delay-shake-up-university-of-alaska\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">expressing concern<\/a> at the way the University of Alaska restructuring was taking place. The meeting will be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alaska.edu\/bor\/live\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">livestreamed by the University<\/a> at alaska.edu\/bor\/live\/.<\/p>\n<p>An agenda for that meeting can be found at the <a href=\"https:\/\/alaska.edu\/bor\/agendas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">University of Alaska website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Later in the evening the board will hear public testimony on issues facing the University of Alaska.<\/p>\n<p>Public testimony will be taken from 4- 5 p.m. Monday. Those who wish to testify can call (866)726-0757 to join the queue for testimony.
