An armed robber allegedly visited the Dragon Inn restaurant Saturday night and left with a pile of paperwork, according to police.<\/p>\n
The Juneau Police Department learned Tuesday, three days after the robbery, that a 46-year-old Juneau resident was closing down the restaurant alone when a masked man came inside at 8:35 p.m., pointed a gun at her and whispered \u201cGive me the money.\u201d<\/p>\n
Police said the victim shoved paperwork at the robber, ducked behind the counter and screamed for help, according to a police release issued Wednesday. The suspect then took the paperwork and left.<\/p>\n
Police said no one was hurt and the suspect did not take any money.<\/p>\n
On Wednesday, Lt. David Campbell told the Empire that a customer encouraged the victim to report the robbery to police.<\/p>\n
The following is the description police have of the suspect: a male with a light complexion with a skinny build who is between 5\u20195\u201d and 5\u20199\u201d tall. He was seen wearing a dark ski mask with white near the center, a tan jacket and dark pants.<\/p>\n
Campbell said suspect description is \u201cnot identical but close enough to raise some suspicion\u201d that the robber is the same person who assaulted and tried to kidnap a woman in the Mendenhall Valley March 2. The suspect in that case was described as being between 5\u20197\u201d and 5\u20199\u201d tall, having a skinny build and wore a black ski mask with white around the mouth. The man from that incident, however, was described has having a dark complexion.<\/p>\n
Campbell said in a phone interview that those incidents are being investigated as two separate cases at this point in time.<\/p>\n
Police are asking anyone with information concerning about the robbery to contact them immediately at 586-0600.<\/p>\n
