The Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center will be hosting the year’s first Mendenhall Minis series Jan. 11, at the visitor center’s Discovery Zone from 10:30-11 a.m.<\/p>\n
Mendenhall Minis is an activities series for children ages 3-5 and their families put on by the U.S. Forest Service the second Saturday of each month. January’s theme is “Beaver Builders!” and participants will read a story about a creative young beaver and then children will build their own beaver structures, according to a press release from the Forest Service.<\/p>\n
The Minis program runs through March and are aimed at pre-kindergarten kids and their families. Activities are free and open to the public. Children must be accompanied by an adult.<\/p>\n
Families are invited to explore the visitor center and other activities following the Mendenhall Minis activities.<\/p>\n
