Police say a Juneau man indicted last week for felony animal cruelty was arrested late Tuesday night.

Bradley A. Bethel, 32 — who had a $20,000 warrant out for his arrest — was taken into custody peacefully by Juneau Police Department officers, Lt. Krag Campbell said Wednesday by phone.

Campbell said officers saw a man matching Bethel’s description enter a residence on the 600 block of West 12th Street. After knocking on the door and receiving no response, officers obtained a search warrant and entered the residence, locating and arresting Bethel, police said.

Police took Bethel to Lemon Creek Correctional Center. Court proceedings have not yet been scheduled at this time.
