{"id":60657,"date":"2020-05-20T13:42:00","date_gmt":"2020-05-20T21:42:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.juneauempire.com\/news\/2-taken-to-hospital-after-motorcycle-car-collision\/"},"modified":"2020-05-20T13:42:00","modified_gmt":"2020-05-20T21:42:00","slug":"2-taken-to-hospital-after-motorcycle-car-collision","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.juneauempire.com\/news\/2-taken-to-hospital-after-motorcycle-car-collision\/","title":{"rendered":"2 taken to hospital after motorcycle-car collision"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A vehicle collision between a car and a motorcycle resulted in two people being taken to the hospital Wednesday afternoon near the Mendenhall Glacier, according to Juneau Police Department.<\/p>\n<p>The initial investigation found that an automobile driven by a 51-year-old woman struck a motorcycle driven by a 64-year-old man and carry a 61-year-old woman, said Erann Kalwara, JPD public safety manager in a news release. The motorcycle driver and rider were injured and taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital by ambulance.<\/p>\n<p>The crash is under investigation, and Glacier Spur Road is closed to through traffic, Kalwara said.
