The Juneau Public Libraries celebrated the Bookmark Contest with participating children in November. This event is sponsored each year by the Friends of the Juneau Public Libraries. A panel of volunteer judges reviewed 1,039 entries and chose one winner and two honorable mentions for each grade level, preschool through eighth grade. Children received gift certificates donated by The Amazing Bookstore and Hearthside Books. Printed bookmarks are available at any public library.<\/p>\n
