{"id":63742,"date":"2020-09-21T22:30:00","date_gmt":"2020-09-22T06:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.juneauempire.com\/news\/3-local-cases-50-statewide-reported\/"},"modified":"2020-09-21T22:30:00","modified_gmt":"2020-09-22T06:30:00","slug":"3-local-cases-50-statewide-reported","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.juneauempire.com\/news\/3-local-cases-50-statewide-reported\/","title":{"rendered":"3 local cases, 50 statewide reported"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>City and Borough of Juneau reported on Tuesday three new COVID-19 cases.<\/p>\n<p>All the newly reported cases are under investigation, the city said in a news release.<\/p>\n<p>Cumulatively, 275 Juneau residents and 98 nonresidents have tested positive for COVID-19 since March, according to the City. There are 30 active cases and 342 people have recovered. All people with active cases are isolating.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, four people are hospitalized with COVID-19 at Bartlett Regional Hospital, according to the city.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We remain at a high alert level, and it&rsquo;s primarily due to community spread,&rdquo; said Mila Cosgrove, City and Borough of Juneau Emergency Operations Center incident commander, during a weekly COVID-19 update. &ldquo;Our seven-day and 14-day case rate indicators are still at the high alert level.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/video.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fcbjuneau%2Fvideos%2F352940569238607%2F&#038;show_text=0&#038;width=560\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" style=\"border:none;overflow:hidden\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" allowTransparency=\"true\" allowFullScreen=\"true\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>She and City Manager Rorie Watt advised residents to refrain from socializing with people with whom they do not reside while not wearing a face covering.<\/p>\n<p>Statewide, Department of Health and Social Services announced 50 new COVID-19 cases. Forty-six cases are residents and four are nonresidents.<\/p>\n<p>One new hospitalization and no new deaths were reported by the state on Monday. There have been a total of 266 hospitalization and 45 deaths statewide, according to state data.<\/p>\n<p>So far there have been 6,950 cases statewide among residents and 936 among nonresidents.
