The driver of a Ford F-150 said he did not see a pedestrian crossing Glacier Highway Tuesday until it was too late, according to a Juneau Police Department news release.<\/p>\n
JPD received a report at 5:07 p.m. of a pedestrian and motor vehicle crash on Glacier Highway at Alaway Avenue. The 23-year-old woman struck injured her ankle.<\/p>\n
Capital City Fire\/Rescue provided care on the scene and later transported the her to Bartlett Regional Hospital.<\/p>\n
Based on witness accounts and evidence located at the scene, it appeared the victim was in the crosswalk when she was struck, according to the press release.<\/p>\n
