City and Borough of Juneau Emergency Operations Center reported on Wednesday two new COVID-19 cases.<\/p>\n
One of the cases is related to out-of-state travel, according to Public Health, and the other is under investigation.<\/p>\n
Cumulatively, Juneau has had 298 residents test positive for COVID-19, according to city data, and 99 nonresidents. So far, 371 people have recovered. One person, who was living out of state at the time, has died with COVID-19.<\/p>\n
There are 24 known active cases in the capital city, according to the city, and they are all in isolation.<\/p>\n
Alaska Department of Health and Social Services again reported a three-figure, single-date increase in new COVID-19 cases. Of the 108 cases announced, 105 are residents and three are nonresidents, according to state data.<\/p>\n
The last time the state reported fewer than 100 new cases was on Sept. 23.<\/p>\n
Of the cases announced on Wednesday, the majority —62 cases —were reported in Anchorage. So far, 293 Alaskans have been hospitalized with COVID-19 and 56 have died with the illness.<\/p>\n
There have been 7,824 resident cases and 956 nonresident cases, according to the state. So far, 4,057 residents and 498 nonresidents have recovered. There are 3,711 active cases statewide.<\/p>\n
